Welcome to Back Porch Ecology! This site is still a work in progress, but I hope to provide a blueprint as to how a suburban family can provide for themselves and live more in harmony with the environment as well as documenting my plant breeding projects. I will also be offering seeds and tubers on the shop tab, so keep your eyes peeled!
About Me
I'm James, a writer and gardener living in the Pacific Northwest with my wife and dogs. I'm fascinated by sustainable agriculture, permaculture, and biodiversity and hope I can instill you, my readers, with some of that passion. I got my BS of Entomology at the University of California, Davis and currently work in the agricultural sciences.
